The COP 30 session on climate change will focus on three key issues: transitioning away from unsustainable energy sources and environmental practices, environmental destruction and resulting climate refugees, and restructuring climate finance (i.e. the prioritization of profit despite environmental destruction). With each issue, there are multiple courses to take. While you will have individual interests, remember the overarching goal of taking positive action to preserve the Earth. You will represent diverse stakeholders concerning the global climate crisis, working together, not solely to satisfy your interests but to, more importantly, draft solutions that actively work to bridge the economic, social, and cultural divides that hinder positive action. Consider what this action looks like, what parties may be affected, and how you can work with other delegates to draft new policies and come up with creative solutions.
