The International Labour Organization, whose mission is to progress social and economic justice, faces an intricate challenge: securing labor rights and equality for persons with disabilities. Today, innovations in accessibility technologies and practices make it easier to serve and fulfill the needs of persons with disabilities than ever before. However, these innovations are left unused due to a lack of awareness, education, and motivation. Many believe that it is expensive to make the labor force accessible to persons with disabilities, or unimportant compared to other labor issues. It is up to this committee to reshape this idea and strive for labor equality for persons with disabilities, as well as employ the newfound accessibility innovations to achieve this equality.
